Ogilvie FP announces new CFO
August 2024
Ogilvie Fire Protection has appointed Robert Galvin as Chief Financial Officer to support an ambitious growth plan.
Galvin brings more than 25 years of financial experience to the role. He joins as demand for passive fire protection climbs across the UK, driven by the Building Safety Act and a sharper focus on making higher-risk buildings safe. The market is expanding fast, and Ogilvie intends to grow with it.
The company has set out a clear target: to triple in size and extend its reach across Scotland and the North of England. Galvin's job is to make that growth deliverable, keeping the finances disciplined as the business scales and takes on larger contracts.
"Robert has the experience to steer us through a period of real growth," said Bruce Ogilvie, CEO of Ogilvie Fire Protection. "We're a quality-led business first, and having someone of his calibre on the finance side means we can grow without letting that standard slip."
For Galvin, the appeal is a business that is scaling for the right reasons. "The passive fire market is growing because buildings have to be made safe, and Ogilvie is already doing that work to a high standard," he said. "My job is to give the company the financial footing to do more of it."
The appointment is part of a wider push. As it grows, Ogilvie is building the structure to match its ambition, so the growth stands on solid foundations. The focus stays the same: passive and structural fire protection, delivered across Scotland and the North of England to a standard the company can stand behind.
