Ogilvie Fire Protection team deployed to Rothera Research Station for major Antarctic construction project.

November 2024

We are proud to announce the deployment of a highly skilled fire stopping team to the Rothera Research Station in Antarctica. For the third consecutive year, we have been a preferred partner to deliver fire stopping at the new research facilities and upgrading of existing structures to enhance the station’s capabilities as a premier center for polar research.
This ambitious project, commissioned in partnership with the British Antarctic Survey, aims to improve Rothera Station’s operational efficiency and environmental sustainability, enabling year-round support for cutting-edge scientific research in the Antarctic.
"This deployment represents a major milestone for our team as we bring our expertise to one of the world’s most remote and challenging environments," said Bruce Ogilvie, CEO. "We’re honoured to play a role in enhancing Rothera Station’s infrastructure, which will support vital scientific research on climate change and ecosystem dynamics."
The team will be deployed over a period of 6 months returning home in Spring 2025. We wish our operatives a safe journey over what will be an incredible experience.
